The temperature is dropping, snow is falling, and Christmas ornaments are everywhere.
As Christmas time is approaching we are very excited to get our classrooms prepared for the holiday season. One of our students’ favorite centers right now is the paper ornament making station. The supplies are minimal but the possibilities are endless.
We filled the center with pre-cut cardboard and paper shaped ornaments and an assortment of drawing tools so the children could be as creative as they wanted to be. We added dot dabbers, markers, water color paint, glue, stickers, crayons, and small Christmas bows to the center.
The biggest challenge we have had with keeping this center going is getting the stickers off of the back of the bows. Why are those so difficult?
Outside of that, the students have really loved the process and our class Christmas tree is now filled with beautiful child-made ornaments.
