Are you looking for an online preschool?

I’ve got the perfect online preschool for you and the great news is that ENROLLMENT IS OPEN NOW through Sunday, January 10th!!

Let’s talk about what virtual preschool can and should include…

Active and Hands-On Learning

That sound simple enough doesn’t it? But staying active is an important part of early learning. We know that young children learn best when children are actively engaged in the learning. What does that mean? There are lots of ways to keep children actively engaged in the process of learning – even in a virtual preschool. Here are a few…

  • They can be actively listening to a good story. This means that they are somehow participating in the story telling process.
  • They can be up and moving during a fun song or fingerplay.
  • They can be drawing, painting, coloring, counting, and the list goes on along with the virtual teacher.

Lots of Choices

Virtual preschool should also include different kinds of choices. Not every child learns exactly the same way or has the same interests. Just like in a physical classroom, a virtual classroom should be filled with choices. In my physical classroom, I wouldn’t just offer one center and call it a day. I always offer choices – even in a virtual classroom.

Flexibility

Virtual preschool should also allow for different time zones and schedules. After all, if it is online, moms should be able to jump online when it works best for their child or their family’s schedule.

A Sense of Community

A live component is a wonderful part of virtual learning. Whether it is on Zoom or on another platform where the children can see each other and interact in real life with the teacher. A live component gives the children a sense of community.

Here’s a quick look at what virtual learning looks like in Kindy Ready’s virtual preschool…

Kindy Ready is my virtual classroom and a labor of love. Every piece of Kindy Ready has been carefully considered. The BIG question I used for planning and putting everything together was, “How can I teach online and yet make it feel like the children are sitting right there in the classroom with me?”

Just like in my physical classroom, I am continuously making little changes here and there and adding new resources and videos to the site. It is a labor of love that just keeps on going. Check out my video below…

Every time I think I know everything I need to know about teaching young children, God says, "Hold on a minute!" and gives me a new challenge.

Let me tell ya...

With each new challenge that you overcome, you will find yourself better equipped and more passionate about teaching young children.

God didn't call wimps to lead, teach, or care for His children. Nope, he has high expectations, so get ready. You will have to give your very best but after teaching for over 30 years, I can tell you that it is a wonderful and rewarding journey.

Whenever your calling feels hard, just remember, 'He who began a good work in you (and in the children you serve) will be faithful to complete it.'
