Have fun with button lights in preschool

I love those little surprises that come up along the way and this is one of those times where the best things come when the child leads the way!

While I was busy making my light table, Wy was busy playing with the button lights…

At first I wasn’t paying attention but then I realized that Wy had come up with a terrific way to explore lights/on/off on his own…

I took some photos with the lights on of his play and some with the lights off.  Wy preferred leaving the kitchen lights on while he played…

Wy also made a path with the lights. I am seeing lots more play ahead with these button lights so even if my light table doesn’t work out quite as planned – the button lights will definitely not go to waist!

cute! I can so see my daughter doing the same thing. She has all sapes of those lights from the dollar store. Your right though, they are a little too cheap to last. Should find them at Walmart. Thanks for the great ideas!

Oh yeah – I don’t think the dollar store versions will last for long:)

I love it when you can use something in lots of different ways. That’s what I liked about your homemade light table. The things could be used in other ways, too, since it was all “loose parts.”

That is something I like too Scott! Everything has potential to be used in another way!
